Brothers,
I just today completed my third degree in weston, mo as a member of the platte city, mo lodge. My question is with me being a member at a af&am lodge will i be welcome at a f&am lodge once i move to louisville, ky?

I belong to two Lodges in two different states. One is an F.&A.M. and the other is an A.F.&A.M. There is no problem as long as the Grand Lodges of both states recognize each other.

As long as one of these two jurisdictions is your MO one you will be welcomed in KY in one branch of our family -

http://www.momason.org/ GLofMO You will be able to visit http://grandlodgeofkentucky.org/ GLofKY

http://glmopha.org/ MWPHAGLofMO. You will be able to visit http://www.phglky.com/ MWPHAGLofKY

MO has had mutual recognition with visitation since 2002. KY has had recognition since 2011 but for the moment it does not appear visitation is in place yet. Pray for improvement. Get active for improvement.

The deal with F&AM versus AF&AM in Prince Hall Affiliation - Lots of jurisdictions use the name Prince Hall but only one per state is regular. Most members of other jurisdictions don't even know their jurisdiction is clandestine. All regular PHA jurisdictions use F&AM so any jurisdiction that uses the words "Prince Hall" plus AF&AM is automatically clandestine. Among the F&AM ones look them up here - http://www.conferenceofgrandmasterspha.org/gjlinks.asp. So F&AM probably means valid and AF&AM definitely means clandestine.

The deal with F&AM versus AF&AM in what I call "George Washington affiliation" for lack of an official term - It's totally random and purely decorative. I am a member in California F&AM. I am a member in Illinois AF&AM. I am a member in Texas AF&AM.
