You are not wrong. In the past I decided to just leave Reddit and focus discussion time that I had over here. In the end, the amount of discussion happening over there just outweighs here by such a large margin, it was difficult to stay away. I do wish that were not the case though.

I suspect you all know this and that it wouldn't bother a lot of brethren, but if you make a post in any subreddit, users in the sub can click on your profile to see where else you have been posting in, including r/freemasonry and the like. It's standard practice to help judge how real a poster is - if your reddit age is only hours or days, chances are this is an account created just to say something bad and run away. People also spot contradictory posts, e.g. politically swinging wildly left to right and making posts just designed to inflame people and start an argument. Generally they are known on reddit as $hitp0sters.

There used to be a lot of good Masonic activity on Twitter, but I gave it up because the amount of chat became too overwhelming. People were generally very nice and polite. One of my twitter friends was the MWGM of one of the two UK women's GLs - HFAF. A most gracious and approachable lady.
