They have a contact page on their website. Fill out the information and patiently await a response would be my suggestion.

I doubt seriously that they would be using a gmail account. Looks like a scam to me.
They have sent me a petition form to fill in, it looks like legit but I still doubt. They also gave me a mentor called himself Daniel. @MarkR is it wise to share that petition form here ???

I would use the details here

It bounces off to that website. As suggested, I would use the website form.

For years, the external email of the Grand Lodge of the Philippines was a gmail, I see Arkansas is using a aol.com email and also some South American GLs using hotmail addresses, but I would be cautious.

It might even be worth a call to the United Grand Lodge of England just to check. Or have a play with this https://www.ugle.org.uk/become-freemason/find-your-nearest-masonic-centre/lookup-area

Just for clarity, some of our District Grand Lodges (and I'm sure Ireland & Scotland are the same) do indeed rely on gmail as their email service because the locally provided services are not very dependable also in this circumstance the District covers several distinct countries in East Africa.

However, where they have set up a Contact Form (https://dgleastafrica.com/contact-us) on their website it should be used as they will have arranged volunteers to monitor it.

What i need to know is this, HERE IN AFRICA DO WE REALLY HAVE GRAND LODGE OF AFRICA??? does UGLE recognize it?
No there aren't Grand Lodges of continents. Grand Lodges tend to be for countries, except in the US and Australia where they are for States and territories. So no there is no recognised Grand Lodge of Africa, who knows what that Facebook page is.

However, some African countries do have them for example: Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Nigeria for starters.

South America is also a place where regions have Grand Lodges. It can be a very confusing situation in South America

@dixonel Mike is correct, there is no National Grand Lodge of Africa which is legit.

I covered this earlier, the correct way is to use the contact form on the website that I gave a few posts ago.

So.. it was me who suggested phoning @Mike Martin

The website form will give them the information they need. I would expect them to by actioned by volunteers at District GL... so calling them might be a bit hit and miss. They will not volunteer 5 days, and might volunteer with during or after hours. If you do call UGLE, expect the phones to be manned.. which is why I suggested it, they well might be able to confirm over the phone the original gmail in question..

Even with a GL with full time staff specifically tasked to answer inquiries about joining, the website form will be useful to them.

That said, a call can often go a long way, especially if you make a good impression.

Either way, be patient, but every 2 to 4 weeks give them a nudge is my advice.. UNLESS you have applied before and been rejected.
