Hello,

I was a member of this site back when it was Texas Masons. I was fortunate to be able to discuss Free Masonry with Blake when the website first started. I decided not to pursue being a mason as I had just graduated college. I ended up going back a couple of times and completing multiple degrees. Now I feel like I have the funds and time to explore freemasonry further. I currently live in Amarillo, TX and noticed we have 2 lodges here. The website for these lodges seems to be abandoned, so it is hard to note what times people are meeting. I would like to know if anyone on this site is a member of either lodge so I can see which one best fits my personality. This way I can introduce myself and put the time in to submit a petition. I would appreciate it if anyone is a part of these lodges or can give me information on these lodges. We are also fortunate to have one in the next town, but I would rather stay with our two in town if possible.

Hello Neo

Good to read you sound like now is the time...

You could wait a bit longer to see if you get a reply here, but my advice would be to telephone the Grand Lodge of Texas, or use their website to put a membership inquiry in.

Here, your question would be seen as moot, because step 1 would be to work out if Freemasonry is for you (from your research, we can assume yes). We'd have some other steps to worry about before we thought about location (that's speaking as someone who is in membership). However, also being a Lodge Sec, if you did make contact with me, we would also check you out before deciding if our lodge or another local one was a best fit for you.

The Board is not as Texas focused as it was.... so you might not get a answer to your question from a local. .

I live in London and I was a member of Prince Hall. When my Brother died all my Regalia and contacts were thrown out by the Council when I was in Hospital. Can you direct me to an active Lodge in London or Croydon.
Sorry to hear that. You will still need to get back in contact with them to get some paperwork.
"Prince Hall" is a very broad description, and you would need to make sure you are in Amity with UGLE.
I would suggest you get some paperwork from your GL/Lodge and reach out to United Grand Lodge of England via https://www.ugle.org.uk/
