Good Day Brothers,
I am getting ready to go back to the lodge for the first time after from not being active for many years. I started back in 2005 as an EA and FC in 2006, at that point life and personal reason caused me to drift away from the lodge. I have missed the fellowship and friendships. I moved last year to the Northeast and have been wanting to join the local lodge. I reached out to my old lodge in California and worked with them to get back into good standing. I also reached out to the local lodge here and talked to them. I have submitted my application for transfer, I should be meeting with the local committee in the next week and have been invited to the meeting next week. I am nervous about going back after all this time, but excited also. I look forward to re-joining the brotherhood and getting involved again. I look forward to sharing ideas and making new friends.

Hello Bro Michael

I have helped lots of men like you rejoin and I often bump into them and they are so happy to be back at lodge..

But beware - we just made one secretary of one my lodges ! hehehehe ! (He's really enjoying it).

I think the record for me is helping someone who had been out for about 40 years. From India and it was really hard to get his paperwork - but managed to get it in the end.

I am meeting with the committee that handles the transfers from other locations tomorrowafter work, and I was invited to dinner and the lodge meeting this Wednesday. Looking forward to it.

I attended lodge last night for the first time in almost 18 years. I was welcomed and we enjoyed a nice dinner before the lodge meeting. It brought back so many memories. It also reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.

I completely understand. I am a 30yr+ member from the MWPHGLof AL. I am a P.M. and current member in good standing. I moved to TX in late 2000 but kept my membership active in AL. Due to family and person obligations myself, it kept me out for a while before being reinstated. And even with my good standing, I have yet to step foot into a Lodge in Texas. Nonetheless, I got the itch to get back involved in the Brotherhood and looking forward to finally visiting and ultimately demitting over to Texas MWPHGLof TX.
