I was wondering if Bobby Flay is a Mason and does he have
any idea what that may mean to the Masons that buy it...

He may or may not be. This is incidental, IMO. Acacia is a VERY large genus of shrub and contains over 1000 species. The uses range from edible in food, to furniture, to common firewood, to ceremonial/religious uses (some species have psychoactive compound properties).

EDIT: not that I'm downplaying its significance in Freemasonry in addition to Egyptian mythology and possible Judaic and Christian connections.

source(s): Kohl's and wikipedia. ;)

Sorry Bro. Benlee, and Crono has the right of it...it is a LARGE genus of shrub and
The trivet is made of hardwood......
Was thinking about buying it to use and for having a
symbol of Masonry in front of me a great deal
of the time...
It would be novel if he was because my wife likes him
so much...

Understood I just couldn't find it when I searched the website. It was probably operator error. It is a cool piece.
