I attended the one we had last month in Nacogdoches. It was interesting, mostly covered Masonic charities and also touched on the issues concerning endowed membership monies. The best part was meeting some brothers I had not talked to in awhile.
I am sorry we did not manage to get together. What I really liked was the classroom sessions before each degree. It made it a lot better to have some background and history of the degree before seeing it.

It was awesome! The degree teams were very good. Those guys have really put in the time on the work. I really enjoyed the degrees as well as meeting new Brothers.
Ah some Kindred Brothers. I underwent a radical prostatectomy at M.D. Anderson in Nov 2007. Great place to be if you need that kind of medical attention. So far no sign of any more of the bad stuff.
I started our website. It's very simple but allows the less active lodge members keep up on what is happening. We also have a private email list restricted to just members of our lodge so we can exhange information and reminders of upcoming activities. We also have an online calendar of events.

I already run "vanity" plates on my vehicles. I would love to have a Masonic license plate. I always wondered why there was not one. Surely we can do this if all those other organizations can. Afterall, I think we probably have more than enough members. :)
We meet the Saturday on or before the full moon. The best count I could get so far there about 6 moon lodges left in Texas. It was a common practice to have the meeting during or close to the full moon. This enabled the brothers to travel more easily during the winter months to get to the lodge...
