Has anyone lost faith with being a Mason?

Keeping you in my thoughts and hoping things turn around for you and your wife. You'll be in my prayers, Brother.

Brother in light,

I am very sorry to hear of the magnitude of the distress in your life. It also weighs heavily on my heart to hear of the supposed indiscretions of your mother lodge. Please know that your masonic family does care and love for you and your family. While I Believe it should have taken about two absences for your lodge to come looking for you, only they can explain their behavior. I would request you not give up on them however. Talk to your lodge chaplain, or WM and see what the disconnect was. At the very least your situation could be your lodges turning point to ensure in the future a mason of lessor constitution them your own doesn't experience the same thing. You and your family have my thoughts and prayers, as well as my lodges.

KPM, I'm glad to hear that Lodge was put on notice. If they want to be a specialty lodge they should say so. The men who were blackballed should never have made it as far as the ballot. They should have been taken to dinner at another lodge and continued from there. A sad state of affairs in our Craft...

This is why dislike "Specialty" lodges that cater to a certain group . We all meet on the level and what we do or who we are in the outside world should be left outside of the lodge doors .

Back home, a blackball automatically gets the notice of the GL. Why? Because it's rare someone not qualified to be a member makes it that far.

It's a shame that this is happening in your neck of the woods, and a bigger shame no one is looking into their actions. Makes me wonder what sort of LEOs they are, as well...

I agree with Bro Bixler above. Seems hard to convey sincerity through a forum but after reading your post. I do sympathize with your situation.
Wish we could do more.
In our prayers.. Brother Nelson
